Best time of day to take paxil?

My doc recently increased my dose of paxil from 20mg a day to 40mg a day. I usually take it after supper but i find that my eyes get really heavy and i can't stay awake. Does anyone think that if i take it before bedtime it would work better for me?

Re: Best time of day to take paxil?

For me it is best that I take it in the morning. But since it makes you sleepy you should take it at bedtime. ---makes sense to me!

Re: Best time of day to take paxil?

thanks for your replies. I decided that since i have to take a sleeping pill to get any sleep i'll take the paxil at bedtime and it might just elimate the need for the sleep aid. A lot of people however have said that they take theirs in the morning so i might try that one day as well. all i know is that dinner time was not working for me.
