Weird question!

Ok so I'm in my mid 20s and I'm really underweight. I've always had weight issues, so I guess I grew up to just live with it. I still live with my parents and just recently they went out on a 1 month vacation. During this time, I noticed I've gained almost 10lbs! I've never been able to do that before. Another thing I noticed is about 1-2 weeks after they came back, I ended up losing those 10lbs... Nothing changed as far as my daily day to day routines go (diet / activities and what not).

So I guess my question would be if stress can play a role in one's weight loss/gain. I don't feel like I'm stressed but, my mom always tells me that I think too much, which I do but, during the time I was all alone in the house, I felt pretty relaxed even though my parents really don't ask much of me. I'm not anti social or anything like that but I do like to be alone and thought maybe that's what it could be. Any thoughts? Ideas? Tips on ways to over come whatever issue it is I have? Thanks.

During your 20's, most people want to be on their own and have their own place. If you are financially stable, my guess is that you would be better off living by yourself??? Since your parents rarely ask anything of you, sounds like you need a little bit more responsibility. Maybe if you were in total control of your life, you would see things differently. And. . .Yes, lots of stress can cause various mental/emotional/physical damage;however I don't see that to be an issue in your case.
