Was this a stroke? - Stroke Message Board

Hi I hope someone can help me ASAP. I haven't been feeling well for about 4 days this week. This morning I was dizzy then had my right side of my face go numb. I figured I would take a nap & see if I felt any better from my cold but didn't. It's now night time and the right side of my face is still numb from right under my eye to my jaw (it feels like when the dentist gives you novacaine). I don't have any other numbness anywhere except my face. Does this sound like I had a slight stroke and should I go to the ER right away????

Hi, I don't know if you're still reading this or if you've went to the DR yet.
I'm not a DR and I imagine that numbness could be caused from other things too but it does sound like it could have been a mild stroke. I don't want to scare you but if you haven't went to the Dr you need to go even if the numbness has went away.

thank you Rachel I haven't been to the doc yet, but the numbness is still there. My hubby just had heart surgery so I have to wait until he gets a little better before I go to the dr.
