| Mom with aphasia and violent
Flustration is the mild word with a parent with aphasia. My mom fell, cracked a shoulder, then had a stroke. She refused to go to the doc or hosp. this has been 8 weeks ago. we have Speech th, Occ th, and Phy th coming to the house - The biggest problem is that she has had bouts of 'ill feeling' whatever that means - We have not figured this out yet - if it nausea, pain from her artherits, or something else. We have ever few good days. Bad days incude refusal to eat, to work with the therapists, to (as with today) throwing things across the room - anything she can get her hands on. She will also hit. This has been recent and the Dr. has nothing to say about it. She is on mild antidepressants. for about one week and this has started in about that time but I dont nec connect the two. We are at our wits end. She was a lovely woman. I dont knw where this is coming from - She could be having a great day and Bamm! She flies off. I will call the dr in the morning But....I dont hav any hope of help there. Any words of direction would be muchly appreciated.
