help with question..stroke or no stroke for my dad - Stroke Message Board

I just found out last week my father had something happen about a month ago..orginally my mom said it was a stroke. It has impaired his speech some. They did some tests (an mri, blood and urine tests) the mri came back and they said it was a nerve disease they think. I am not sure what that means..they are waiting on the blood and urine to come back. Its really hard to my father like this and its really been hard the past week. Any help is appreciated with someone that has this happen before. I did not know what forum to post this since this was the best I could find

As hard as it is to wait and see sometimes that all you can do until the medical community runs through all their testing procedures in a process of elimination. No matter what they find out, I would bet money on them sending your dad to speech therapy. It sure has helped my husband.
