carotid artery dissection
My 21 year old daughter had a stroke in march due to spontaneous dissection of the carotid artery. doctors do not know why this happened. She was in perfect health. Her right side was affected. she is currently in out-paitent therapy after 3 weeks of inpatient therapy. Trying to find anyone who has experienced the same type of stroke.

Hi,

I hope your daughter is on the road to recovery? I had a Carotid Artery Dissection in Oct 2008 & found it very frustrating how little the medical world knew about this condition.
