| 31 year old husband had a stroke
Hello, I'm new here. I'm a 30 year old wife and mother of four. My husband had a stroke less than a week ago. It was a blood clot on the left side of his brain. He can walk and talk, but his movements are very unbalanced and slow. His speech is also impaired.
We don't have insurance, and currently I'm working on getting him charity care so he can go to physical therapy. His goal right now is to drive again.
I guess we should be grateful that he isn't worse off, but this stroke has currently flipped our entire world upside down. He was a stay at home dad who took care of our 8 month old twins and 3 year old daughter while our 5 year old son was at school. He used to do drop offs and pick ups at school as well as everything regarding the babies. Now, he can't do any of that and I'm left trying to figure out how to get the kids watched so I can go to work. Our families have been very cooperative, but it is still so hard. Everything has changed.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and get any advice I can about making the transition post stroke. Thank you in advance.
