| What's happening to me?
I am a 48 year-old Male with Severe Asthma, and Hypotension- I take meds to get my BP up to, or a little higher than, 90/60, because it can drop to 70/40.
In mid August I was dizzy, got dizzier, then my left side went useless, and my low BP was something over/135. I was clammy, and my speech was labored to the point I could hardly get words out, or understand what was being asked or said to me- by the Dr. or the other woman, whose name I didn't know, and found out was my wife. I had a CT, MRI, and MRA, and they were "unremarkable."
I went to another Neurologist who didn't understand why an EEG, MRA of the neck, and MRV of the brain wasn't done- so she gave me scripts to get those tests done. She wanted me back in 3 weeks so I would have time to get the tests done, and she could put together all of the tests along with her exam, and was told no driving. Stroke is the Dr.’s specialty, and getting an appt. with her is hard- she has some office hours, but she also runs the county hospital stroke center. I’m still getting dizzy when I move around, still have headaches on the top of my head, and I can’t imagine going back to my classroom to stand, walk around, and bent over a desk to work with students individually. The stress is probably not a good thing right now either- I didn’t ask if I could go back to work because I figured she would say no. How long till the dizziness goes away? Should I be waiting for my appointment in another 8 days, or call the Dr. and tell her I need an answer about the dizziness?
