My mother may have a stroke. What do I do if she does? We live 5 minutes away from the hospital. I can carry her if I need to. Should I call 911 and tell them i'll be at the hospital or should I wait for them at my house? |
Re: My mother may have a stroke. What do I do if she does? Get her to the hospital as quickly as possible. That is crucial when dealing with a stroke. If you are 5 minutes away, it may be quicker for you to get her there. I just saw your post this morning and noticed you wrote at midnight. I hope you have her in the hospital by now. Please let us know how she is doing and I wish you both the best. God Bless, Tim |

Re: My mother may have a stroke. What do I do if she does? I hear you positive, but I would think that waiting for professionals with appropriate medical equipment and training would be the best thing to do. 5 minutes away. When I called my hospital is 15 minutes away, but an ambulance was dispatched from the nearest hospital. There are so many subtle tones to a stroke. I would think putting her in the hands of professionals from the start is the best thing. What if you carry her and something happens to you. I say, just play it smart. Keep a cool head and trust the professionals. |
