back to the stroke clinic

on friday my hubby had a bit of a turn after he had his tea he had a heavy arm four hours later his left leg couldnt take his weight and he said his left hand felt like it just kept relaxing and he kept dropping his fork,he wouldnt let me call the hospital he is adamant hes not going to be back in hospital but i managed to get him to see the gp who thinks he has had a tia so we are off to the stroke clinic again on wednesday morning to start tests can anyone say what they will do as we went through the complete set of tests in july, i am going to insist on a brain scan as i know somethings not right, any advice will be most welcomed as i am worried sick

Re: back to the stroke clinic

Oh dear Im so sorry what your going through. Your poor husband did not need this set back. I agree with you Insist on a mri to determine what is going on. You have needed answers for some time now and you both deserve some answers. Best of luck and keep in tough.
God Bless Mulchie

Re: back to the stroke clinic

thanks mulchie we have been to the stroke clinic today where my hubby had a cat scan as the stroke specialist has confirmed not a tia but a full stroke,we are now awaiting a mri scan to see what damage has been done, my husband still has some weekness to ris left hand side but is a lot better he has also been put onto asprin for a month,he also is going to have a 48 hr heart trace to see if there are any irregularities although the one he had done in july was normal so now we have all the tests to go through again,i just hope he can keep posative thanks nannymax
