I'm off of Paxil
Yesterday, I went to my doctor. She basically said I was recovering great from my stroke. At one point during the appointment, I asked her about all the drugs I am now taking, especially Paxil. I think that drug causes me to laugh a lot; for things that aren't even funny. She agreed to take me off of the drug, as long as I come back in a month, so she can see how I'm doing without the drug and to see if the laughter has ended. She said that the Paxil may not be why I laugh a lot; it could be that the stroke effected that part of my brain that controls laughter (it could be that, because the stroke effected both sides of my brain). I am just so glad to be off of this drug. I hope the laughter problem goes away, and I am not depressed. Do any of you know of any bad withdrawal reactions from the drug? I sure hope that I don't have them or depression.
Besides the Paxil, she removed me from two other drugs that I've been taking. I'm so glad she did that, because one drug says I shouldn't drive while taking it, and I plan to drive in the future.
