y do i have sharp pain in my chest and under left arm pit - Stroke Message Board

Hello, im 38/w/f and for a while ihave been having chest pain. sometimes it is under my left arm pit, its like a sharp pain that takes my breath away, it dont last very long but may do it several times a day. sometimes it hurts too bad to take a deep breath. i fell im in pretty good shape, im 5'8 145 lbs. i dont eat fat food (very often), i dont drink, even sodas. sometimes my fingers will tingel and fell numb (just the very ends like the last nuckle down). well thanks for any info u can send my way. best of luck to u all.

Hi I just read this posting and its dated back to November 2002, but I was wondering if you had found out what your pain was from under the left arm pit and taking a deep breath hurts. I am having the same problems and my doctor told me it was a muscular skeletal problem, but I feel almost like its gas or something that causes this very sharp pain to happen. I take a deep breath and it hurts. In a few minutes it goes away. It happens only once and a while. Any ideas.
