my daughter died of sids and there was no blanket in the crib, try a sleeper bag that will only cover up to his chest area that way he will still have his "security blanket" and not be able to pull it over his head just a thought gl to you and remember God has a plan for all of us no matter what our age is, i really believe the Lord took my darling Angela because something bad was going to happen to her later in life i will never 4get the smile she gave me b4 she went to sleep she will be 21 this feb 28th God bless you all and never take life for granted peace jaymz...

Thanks for your replies. Dylan will be 1 year old in 10 days. He doesn't sleep with the blanket over his head anymore. He is strong enough to kick it off when he wants and usually does in his sleep. I just make sure the apartment is warm enough. I don't worry about him now but if I have another baby in the future I will use a sleeper when he/she is young.
