The research that I have read indicates that the baby can not be recesitated because the brain stem is already dead and that is what controls all breathing. There has also been research that indicates that the babies breathing had been slowly getting irregular and slower hours before but not enough to hear or see any outward signs. Another indication after a baby is found not breathing is that they have very tiny burst vessels in their chest, that could be another reason they cant be recesitated.
There are lots of theorys out there but the main definition of SIDS says that SIDS is the
unexplained death of an apparently healthy baby after a thourgh autopsy. So by saying unexplained death... a baby who is going to surcum to SIDS will die and can not be resesitated.
I don't pretend to be an expert,

this is just the research I have seen and how I have personally interpreted it and how it related to my daughters death.
I pray that some day we will be able to diagnois SIDS and eliminate it completely!
