I agree. Often children go undiagnosed and go through their school years with such pain and dread because no one is able to "label" the "problem" My son is 14 and has had a hard time learning all along. Yet he is very talented in many areas. I have seen his self confidence wither as an elementary student because of teasing. Then in middle school negative attitude toward school develope becausehe was in the "dumb" classes. Now as a 14 yr. old freshman and starting on the wrestling team I see self confidence returning and pride in being a team player. Yet he has yet to ever be diagnosed with a problem. I am sure this would be a very popular forum.
