No it is not. My husband was told he "just had a virus" and the swab came back negative; however, he had a fever of 102 that pain relievers wouldn't touch, slept 20 hours a day, his lungs burned, he was achy, had the chills, headache...
Another person I know went to her doctor and had the nasal swab. Her husband went to a different doctor and got a negative swab as well; however, the doctor ordered a more specific test and it came back as positive after a couple of days and was put on tamiflu.
