Call the place in which you got it pierced. Hopefully you got it a decent place that did it correctly. Tell them that the solution is causing problems and they will suggest something else.
I am really hoping you went to a professional place to get this done. I have noticed that one can go to the mall and get it done by places that should only be piercing ear lobes. Whenever one gets something like this done they should seek out professionals that use the proper tools and proper care products. If by chance you went to one of those places in the mall then to get proper care call a local Tattoo/Piercing shop and talk to them. They will be able to help you.

Not a good idea to use alcohol. All though it is very effective at killing all the bacteria, it also kills the good cells that helps heal the wound, and it will cause your navel to heal much slower. Have you tried using an anti-bacterial soap like Dial or lever 2000?

When i got mine pierced 3 years ago, i was told to buy this over the counter dye. I forgot the exact name but you can buy it at any store. I never had any problems, no infections nothing with it.
