Does anyone has any ideas on how to get a parent to consent to a body piercing? I need some tips and ideas because i really want to get my belly button pierced but my parents won't allow it. Any ideas?

Well,you could always try what I did...I worked on tellin em that I wanted my eyebrow pierced and kept on em until they gave me a straight out reason WHY I couldnt get it done and they couldnt come up with one except no so they finally gave in...then I told em I'd rather have my tongue pierced and they WOULD NOT have that for some odd reason so I just told them I'd rather get a tongue piercing because its not as visible as an eyebrow piercing and I could go look for a job and whatnot with the tongue ring...and it worked...I also have my eyebrow,lip,and labrette<SP?> pierced now...but thats a different story = )
Just be careful when you get it because a lot of stuff could happen as to where it would get infected...so watch what you do and everything...

Let your parents know that you have done research on the piercing and understand what little risks it holds and how to also take care of it properly. This will show that you are responsable enough to care for a new hole in your body. Also try and see if they will at least make a deal with you give them good grades good behavior and a clean home and in return you get you navel pierced. Oh age is a big factor if you are are any younger than 16 I wouldnt try to hard other than that good luck.
