 Whats this guys intentions?

A while ago, I mentioned to my best friend Amanda that I had a major crush on Arron. Arron figured out I like him, because my best friend ended up telling him a little too much. Since I was not planning on telling him until about a month later (Because I had just recently broken up with my b/f, and because he was trying to get over a crush of another girl) it kinda made the situation even harder. Although, about a year ago he had a crush on me. We had a long convo about it and he said he wasn't sure he liked me, but to give him a chance in the future.
Now today, I came online and he told me that I had looked really good today. What does he mean by this?
