I would go back to the place you got it done at and have them put the new one in. I tired to do it myself and got a little quezzy. Plus they do it for free. The place i went to told me to wait 9 months to a year for it to heal completely.

Hi you can put the barbell in yourself after a couple of months i would say. With a barbell unscrew the stud thingy at the top and take it off then put it threw the hole and screw it back on. It shouldn't hurt at all if everything is going okay with your piercing.

You will most likely feel weird the first time you take it out. Use a mirror to look for the hole to put the barbell in. You could go back to the place where you got it, but it is best if you learn yourself. It may bleed a little and you may not be able to get it back in straight away. Relax and don't force it. Putting water on it makes it slippier and easier to put in. Hope this helps!

go back to the place you got it done because you need to get pliers or something to take the ring off.
