Hey, I just have a quick question. I really would like a bike. That is cardio and burns fat, right? Do you think that if I rode the bike maybe 4 times a week it would actually help with the stomach area-to lose fat? I think it should... How long do you think I should bike for? Anyway, thanks for responding.
Sorry Hot Ice, your wrong. If you keep your heart rate up for atleast 20 minutes then it will not only burn a lot of calories and fat it will also help you lose fat all over your body, not only your stomach. What you have to remember is there is no real way of "spot reducing" you can do one million situps or crunches and you wont get abs if you have fat in your stomach. The best way to lose fat: diet properly and CARDIO!
What main muscles are being trained when you bike? You better not say the abs.
You're right though, if one's heart rate goes up for a certain amount of time, one would lose weight all over one's body. But that doesn't mean that one's abs would build if one continues to bike.
Sry, dude, but i just read in a health magazine that no matter how much ab u build underneath the fat, u still need to lose the fat on top by dieting- sry again
