Hey,
I'm in a band and we have some real good stuff. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get your material recognized. Like by a record company. Thanks a lot.

send demos to radio stations or find a local record company and just show up. and i mean local record company not small record company. always have copies of your songs w/ you and give them to as many people as you can. and play live nothing works better. play gig after gig and get a following. and record execs always go to shows. and a band that kicks *** live is always better than a studio creation. whats your band's name? ill look out for them.

hey i'm in a band too! good for you! try playing free shows at your highschool, assuming your in it, if not try and get some free gigs around your town. put posters up with FREE in big letters! that always seems to help. after gigs local radio stations and stuff like xfm and the fox usually comment on it which also helps with the recognition. hope i helped
oh yeah and always aim for the teenagers cause they always love free shows
