By the way, for all the guitar players--there's a good sixties political folk singer Phil Ochs, he has great guitar solos, you guys should check him out!

Reason: ...stupid fingers...
I play lots of instruments, although most of them I taught myself. I have been playing the piano for 12 years, and the clarinet for 7. My mom taught me piano since I was 5, and I was in band for 3 years but continued music when I left to homeschool. In 7th grade I was in symphonic band, and 2nd chair. Our band also performed in a parade that pretty much only high schoolers perform in. I taught myself how to play the flute, violin, and I know a few chords on the guitar. I also did choir up until 6th grade, but wasnt able to continue both band and choir because they made us choose one or the other.
I really enjoy music, but it is only a hobby for me, and I could never see myself going any further with it..

I used to play French Horn.. when I played it I didn't like it a whole lot, I mean, it was alright at the time and a great learning experience. Then I had to give it up this year to be on student council (no more classes available) and I really miss it!! Being music inflicted is the best thing in the world. You never know how much you enjoy or need something until it's gone, it's true.

I play the french horn (not really a normal instrument) but i do like to play it most of the time. Music is a wonderful thing and if you can play it and if you love it, then by all means go for it!! Who cares what other people think! Man, i wish i could play the guitar. I hear its hard. My best friend plays bass guitar in a band and so does my ex boyfriend and they both love it so i dont think its weird to enjoy the "music" thing.

Hey Munch,
I love music and I've played the Electric "Rock" Guitar since I was 14. It doesn't matter what instrument you play, the enjoyment you get and self-discipline you learn is like nothing else... Of course, the girls (in my case) were great too!
I didn't learn the guitar for girls, I grew up with The Doors and The Rolling Stones Yes, I'm that old
