Ok. I saw this movie in like 96 ish maybe. It's about a girl whose mother burns her. Then she goes to camp one summer and she writes to her mom everyday. A little girl notices her burns and befriends her. They go swimming one night and the burnt girl drowns. The mother of that girl tracks down the other girl. Moves into the apartment next to her. Befriends the family. Starts babysitting her. Gets to be real good friends. Then kidnaps her. Takes her to the old house her and her daughter lived in. Starts calling the girl her daughters name. Then starts to burn her. Slowly the cops track the woman down and arrest her. I saw it on Tv. It was probably a made for Tv movie. anyone else ever heard of it/seen it? I can't remember who plays in it...
It's driving me insane!!!!

Sorry I have never heard of it but it kinda sounds like the book the child called it.

I've seen it- years ago, and was thinking it was a Sally Struthers movie? I can't remember.

It sounds like a lifetime movie, but im not sure. The description doesnt sound familiar, but it sounds like the type of movie id watch.

Yeah, it does kind of sound like a Lifetime Original Movie. Ok, since it took off the URL I put, you can just go to the Lifetime website. You'll see a place where it says something about Lifetime movies, and they have all of them in alphabetical order. (That is, if you DO think it's a Lifetime movie.)
