Red face Belly Button Piercing

Ok so I have had my belly button pierced for about 14 weeks now and I started noticing a white creamy liquid comming from my belly button when I clean it. Is this normal? I thought it was infected but I wash it about 3-4 times a day I could not believe that it would get infected that easily.. Also is there a difference between Sea salt and regular table salt? Does one work better then the other?

Re: Belly Button Piercing

Ok first DO NOT USE TABLE SALT, i used that when i pierced my nipples and they got infected horribly. Second you should contact the place that you got it done at and ask them what they think you should do. Any time you get a piercing or a tattoo you should always follow the instructions the piercer/artists tells you. As for it being infected it might be, with the puss and all, but your best bet is to either go back to where you got it done so they can look at it or call and let them know whats up and they tell you what to do. In the mean time anti bacterial dial soap is very good to use on piercings and you dont want to over wash it.

Just so you know im speaking from experience i have 7 piercings.
Good luck
