5'9 is a decent height. Your not to tall nor to short & a little taller than most girls. I say most girls because it seems like todays teenage girls are taking some kind of pill that bump them up a few iches...lol

Thanks. My dads 5'9 and my mums 5'5. But I stand taller than my dad so I'm sure I must be a bit taller. So far I've taken more after my mums side and there all tall. When do you stop growing ?

Some male stop growing about the age of 16. How old are you? & what worries you about your height?

You may grow to be 5'10 to 5'11....pending on age

I'm almost 16, and almost 5'3, and so are a lot of my friends, so I think it depends on your age and genetics.

don't worry about it. I've dated guys who are like 5' 7" and 5'8", and i'm almost 5'7" myself.

I'm 21yrs but I have noticed that I'm still growing. I think I was a late developer. My mum has always said that I take after her side of the family and her brothers (my uncles) are all over 6ft, like 6'3" and they were late developers. What do you think the chances are ? Thanks for your help..

I am 22 and was the same height since I was 15 I wish I got taller but My family is pretty short. I stand 5'10 and I am the tallest. If your family is late bloomers then your genes may be the same thing where you may grow another few inches. I don't expect you'll hit 6'3 unless you eat you veggies...

I don't think I'll hit 6'3", not unless I have a freakish growth spurt! If I had a choice I'd be 6ft

6 ft is a decent height. I think anything between 5'8 to 6ft would be just right. In this case your not to tall nor short.

As a 6' tall girl, I'd say that 5'9" is not short. Most of the guy friends that I have are your height. If I had a choice, I wouldn't be this tall, but, hey, what am I going to do about it? Shrink??

Basketballchick- We'll trade then, I'll be 6ft and you can be 5'9! Thanks for your support ppl. I must have built some issue around height in believing girls would only be interested in taller men. Most of my friends are really tall and I like basketball too, some ppl think you need to be 6ft+ to play the game..

Yeah, i'm 6' also, and a basketball player, lol.

I don't think 5'9 is short. The only thing I need a tall guy for is at my prom and at weddings, lol, for the pictures!

although I do tend to date guys that are about my height, I have dated shorter. It's fine.

Are you kidding? 5'9" is a great height. A semi-friend of mine, Steve, is very short...I'd say he's about 4'11" or 4'10". But he's still cool.

God I'd give my left arm to be 5'9" (need my right arm for artwork ).
