Is there any way I could get him back?

My boyfriend kind of semi-left me... It's kind of a long story. Two years ago, we met and became really close friends, best friends. He'd always had a crush on me and throughout the course of a year, was eventually able to get me to agree to a relationship with him. At first, everything was going really well, and we made eachother so incredibly happy. He even gave me a ring, "proposed" to me, and called me his "bootleg fiancee". After awhile, though he started to think that I was being too clingy--and I admit that, and I would go back and change it if I could... so he broke up with me. We dhad an on-off thing for about two weeks, then he went with this other girl to her prom--they were friends at the time, and she needed a date. Afterwards, though, he said that he had so much fun with her... but the day after that, he started hugging me and kissing me...so I asked him what was up. He said that he loved me, and I convinced him to come back to me again. After a day, though he told me that he only got back with me because he was lusting after me, and that he really wanted to see where things went with the other girl. He told me that he needed a break from me and that we could get back together again afterward... but like...at first he promised that he'd come back to me, then he said he didn't know how long it'd take, and now today, he told me that he couldn't promise that. He told me that everything in his life was going perfectly except that I keep trying to get him to come back to me...and yet he says he still loves me... so I don't know what to do. Is there some way I can convince him to come back? I know, I know, I'm probably going to be told to move on...but I've tried, and I really really love him, and I just...can't let go. I keep thinking about how happy we used to be together...how sweet he was to me...how much he wanted me...and I want that back again so badly... If anyone can tell me how, I'd owe my life to you...

No Way....Re-read your post 5 times....This guy breaks to many promises. Why would you want a guy to go with another girl and be the rebound if they don't work. HE broke is promised to be with you so that means he is no good and you need to move on.

Re: Is there any way I could get him back?

I know this is the last thing you want to hear but he is NO GOOD. I had a boyfriend I was absolutely crazy about, but then we broke up...and when we went out again he lied to me and everything. So I broke up with him, I was so close to going back out with him because I liked him so much and it hurt so much but my friends helped me see he wasn't worth my time. This guy USED TO be great to you, but he's not anymore, ppl change and he knows how to manipulate you. Get out of there. You can do so much better without him.

That's great! Congratulations man! Sorry I'm off topic here, by the way. Just saw a familiar name.

Thanks I'm glad to be here as well. Well I guess we better finish this little chat now cause this post was actually about something entirely different. Sorry again, about this little intervention.

To curve it back in, Myui why would you want someone to break promises all the time? All this will do is continue to hurt in the future. Let us know on your thoughts...Please

Yeah I mean the way he's treating you is low. He chooses another girl over you and if it doesn't work out he'll just have to settle with you. I mean this guy's got it going: having you as a back-up girlfriend. You shouldn't let any guy treat you like that. You're worth a whole lot more than that. One day you're going to find a nice guy who will love you, and you only. This guy is really sad, and I already feel sorry for his next victim.
Do yourself a favour and get over him!

Hey, if this guy can be a dog then why can't she?

How about she plays a dirty trick making him think that he can come back and when he does she just tells him she met someone that has respect for her feelings. I kinda like that one
