At what age do girls start wearing training bras. My daughter is 9 and wants to start wearing them and I honestly don't remember at what age I began to wear them. My daughter does not really have anything to put in a bra but isn't that the point of the "training" bra?

I would say whenever your daughter feels ready. And that would be now.
I would imagin this is more of a parenting issue. If you want to let her rush into womanhood well before she's ready, just because she's pressuring you to let her, that's your decision. But you're going to have a lot of decisions like that, e.g. when to start letting her wear makeup, 'mature' clothes...
Personally, I feel a girl should wear a training bra as soon as she begins to develop breasts, any earlier is not necessary. The point of training bra is not only to get you used to it, but to get a girl past that awkward stage of small breasts that really don't need any support. If she is a slow starter, and is feeling 'behind' her friends, who already have breasts, then I would let her wear one then. But not before her peers have breasts (and if they're all wearing training bra's w/o any need to, then it's something you could talk to her friend's mother's about). If they're all 9 and wanting to be 'sexy' like Brittany Spears, I wouldn't encourage it. But that's just my opinion.
I mean at 9 she obviously doesn't need one, but its not REALLY a bra so its not like its gonna do her any harm, and little girls like "being big" so why not buy her one, she proabebly wont wear it everyday anyways. But girls do start everything early these days...so I don't know whats right.

Girls are staring puberty at a younger age than when you were a child. She may not be ready for one but she wants one because there may be some girls at school allready wearing and talking about them. She is just trying to feel grown and fit in.
I started at around 10 I think. Everyone develops differently, so if she feels it's time to start preparing for womanhood, then it probably is. I remember how exciting it was when I first got mine. Heck, bra shopping is still fun and I'm 18!
But yes, whenever she's ready to start 'training', tell her to go for it.
