At times, I really hate being part Italian!! Let me explain...
Everytime that I shave my legs, I have these little black dots that look like hair under the surface of my skin, but my legs are smooth (for about 10 hours...). I tried Nair and other depilatories, but I have such sensitive skin that I break out every time and it takes me about a week before I can shave again without pain.
I never tried waxing, but I am still a little nervous about it. Anyone who has any ideas, PLEASE let me know! I am dying to get information on these annoying black "dots".
I know exactly how you feel. I'm part Portuguese. I really don't let the black dots bother me, but if they irritate you that much then you could try waxing, but chances are are that you'll get ingrown hair, plus it hurts. You could try going to a dermatologist and have the hair lasered off permanently, but that also hurts quite badly. And you'll probably have to go through a few sessions; also, it's costly. So my advice is to though it out. You're not alone. Accept the fact that your body isn't perfect. Besides, no one is looking that closely to your legs and if they do notice, they probably don't care.
mdboa05, I totally agree this is what makes being Italian suck.
I have the exact same problem and makes me crazy. Like you I also have sensative skin thats why I will advise you not to wax I tried it twice and I will never do it again other than painful as hell it didnt work as well as it should of and my legs were covered in burns for like a week.
The only thing that I have found that hides those ugly dots is tanning the darker your skin looks the lighter the dots are.
