Hi, I've just turned 16 about a week ago and im about 5'9". The problem is that i just feel so small compared to everyone, when docters did those height prediction things when i was small, I was meant to end up at about 6'3" or something like that, but I just can't see that happening now. Does anyone know how much more I will grow, or if there's anything I can do to help reach a greater height. I really don't want to end up at 5'9", any help would be reallly appreciated as this is starting to get me down now, I really hate being so short.
Predictions are not always accurate, it's a more of a guess with some reasoning behind it (your genes) to determine what the future might hold for you. Besides, you just turned 16, you still have some growth still left in you. You're at the average height for a male, so don't feel short, it's just that everyone around you is above average. Don't sweat it, you're still young.
well first of all you might not stop growing till your 21 or 22. maybe alittle older. so dont worry yet. a good example of some one that grew alot after highscholl is dennis rodman. he was only like 5'10 or 5'11 at 18 and by 21 he was somewhere between 6'6 adn 6'8. when i was 18 i was about 6 foot and at 15 about 5'9 or 5'8. by the time i was almost 21 i grew anther 3 and half inches. dont worry about till you are in your twenties or a doctor tells you your growth plates have stopped.
i even met person i a graduated high school with afew after the fact. he was like 5'6 then. when i saw him 3 or 4 year laters he was about 6 foot. dont worry about it yet.

heightmax = scam... they're all scams. No pill will make you taller.
Once the growth plates in your bones fuse there is no more room for growth. The only proven method is leg-legthening, and that's painful and only for a couple inches. Go to your doctor and ask him to refer you to a doctor who will give you a bone age. It's an x-ray of your hand and wrist to see whether you still have some room for growth. You're still 16... you still have some growing to do.

yes the growth plates i broke one of my ankles when i was 13 and now one of my legs is about 1 and 1 half inches shorter than the other because i broke the growth plate. Your 5 9 thats not short... thats alright, Im 17 and im 5 8
don't worry, hun... the docs told me that I was supposed to be 5'6" and although I wanted to be your height I am already at 5'8" and still growin! You'll get up there, and you have no reason to feel short, at my school I'm one of the tallest girls around! Plus the average height for females is 5'6" so your already wayy past that! -Happygoluckeey
