just turned 17 a while ago, but about a week or 2 before i found a white hair, it was easy to spot seeing as i have dark brown hair, it was weird and the hair itself looked a bit thinner with a different texture compared to the rest of my hair, at first i kinda freaked but soon forgot about it, then a couple or days ago i found another one it just seemed it just popped up over night. My dad told me it was just a hormonal thing but i just want to be sure if it is a hormonal thing or maybe im starting to go gray already?

You don't have to be pushing 40 or 50 to get white hairs. People of any age can get them from stress, hormones, and many other things. I've seen one or two white hairs nestled in my mane and I just turned 20 this past summer. My BF is 22 and he's got a patch of grey hairs in the front of his head that he's had all his life. Nothing to lose sleep over.

just be glad your hair isn't falling out. My uncle was gray by the time he was 21 and i knew this guy in high school who had started balding at 16.

everyone's different. nothing to worry about.

but if it really bothers you, just pick up a box of hair dye! problem solved!
