Ok I'm 17, and I understand that teens go through these phases but its kinda nerve racking. I had this problem a couple years ago but I didn't have wetness, I just had odor. Now I have just wetness and no bad smell. I've tryed five different types of deorderent. Such as: Ban, Dove clinical protection, secret platinum, degree and secret platinum gel. None of these have worked. Right now i'm using ban and I'm putting kleenex under my arms everyday. Which really sucks. So is there any other brand that could really help? It would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.
I have the same problem - I'm 19. After spending alot of money on ALL different types of antiperspirants, I decided to just stop. This has actually helped alot. What I do is scrub my armpits with a wet washcloth (raise your arm up when you are in the shower and scrub your armpit for about 60 seconds). Then I just put a dab of a natural deodorant and some baby powder. It hasn't stopped the wetness completely, but it has GREATLY reduced the amount. I don't have sweat dripping down my arms like I used to.
Also, they do sell these sticky pad things that you can put inside your shirts to absorb the sweat. I've tried them and they do a decent job, especially for shirts that I otherwise wouldn't be able to wear.
Good Luck (I know this is a REALLY embarrassing thing to have and doesn't it stink that you have to be really careful about what shirts you wear?!)
I know I am not a girl or anything, but guys have the same problem with excessive sweating. It's a pain in the butt, but for some reason or another some people just sweat more than others, whether there is a reason or not. What I have found works is a prescription anti-perspirant called Drysol. Just go into your doctor on one of your routine visits and ask about it, its not a big deal, and they don't have to check anything. He should have no problem writing a prescription for it. Anyways, apply it a few times a week for the first couple of weeks, and then once a week, and I guarantee you, you will never sweat from your underarms again, or any other place you put it on for that matter. It works incredibly well. Bare in mind that you still should wear deodorant with it. Its only an Anti-perspirant.
