Menstrual mood swings

Hi,
I recently turned 15. I started my periods August 2010 and fell into a regular cycle straight away. Obviously this is a good sign. However, I've increasingly noticed that I get foul mood swings when I'm on my period - for instance today I felt absolutely fine in the morning but woke up after a nap feeling absolutely awful, and I just felt like crying - there was no reason for feeling so godawful.
Are there any remedies I can take to treat these foul mood swings, as they are impacting on me - it takes the tiniest thing to change my mood from chipper to bitter.
Thanks,
India

Re: Menstrual mood swings

Your mood swings are cause by hormones. Hormones are chemical substances, produced in the body that are transported by the blood to other organs to stimulate their functions. You can take Midol or Pamprin for menstrual symptoms such as period to relieve your mood swings. Hope this helps.

You might want to try midol or pamprin and ive heard birth control helps a lot with that as well. any of those should work just fine
