Too low body fat..
Hi, I just went to the doc yesterday and I have been missing my periods for 4 months now and its because I am a little underweight and I have a 10% body fat. (14 years, 5'4, 109 pounds) [oh and last year I weighed in at 121, wasn't as active as I am now] I am an athlete I run an hour 5 days a week (on elliptical), gymnastics, golf. My doc says I need to be getting my period back because my body thinks I'm in the "desert" and in like survival mode. How do I get my period back without gaining a lot of weight? Honestly, I really want to keep my weight I am now.
I want to get it back because she said something about getting fractures when I am older, and I really don't want to have any health problems. Do I have to stop physical activity for a while, or just cut back??? Or eat more?
