| need advice on what happend to my belly piercing?

well, i got my belly pierced around the beginning of december, and i will admit i haven't taken the best care of it. and ive been noticing the skin getting thinner and thinner. so i haven't really realized what was happening until it ripped out today after i got out of the shower. is it possible that it was just infected or does it look like it actually rejected? and does anyone know how long the hole will take to close so i can get it pierced again?! please help
