Question methimazole

does methimazole cause muscle spasms and cramps??

I took it for 7 years and didn't have any muscle spasms or cramps. You could have low potassium and/or dehydration.

If you are overmedicated and therefore in the HYPOthyroid range now, then YES you can have these symptoms. It's not from the methimazole itself, but it is from being hypothyroid due to too much methimazole sending your thyroid levels too low.
