Has anyone gone from taking synthetic T4 to Armour, t3 and t4, and then back to synthetic T4 only? I am curious at to why you did.
I am beginning to think that I actually felt better on the levoxyl before my switch to 60 mg Armour. At least I didn't have the arthitis-like pain in my joints and I could get around with more mobility. I just started the armour, maybe I should give it a longer shot. The plus side of this is that I do have a clearer mind-set. Brain fog gone. But then I gained this joint pain in return.
Hi again Miller. I went from hurting all over, aches to what felt like arthritis in my hands and my knees. Don't know how to explain why that happens but it's pretty much gone now. You've been on Armour for 2 1/2 weeks, right? When is your next blood test? Has there been any discussion of upping your dose. Don't forget you were doing pretty lousy on the T4 only. Don't give up too quick. I've had an amazing amount of strange symptoms with the Armour, had alot without it, but the Armour seems to be changing things. Mentally and emotionally has been the most noticeable. I was kind of dull(feelings wise), then with Armour I felt so much better for the first 4 weeks, then I got really crabby(which is not like me) and after another week, I feel very peaceful, happy. My husband is a happy man now. I think when you change to a T3 med, if your body hasn't been making enough, you probably have a lot of what you would consider side effects, but they're just your body re-grouping after the famine. Hugs. IWL
Hi IWL! I know I should be patient...but it really feels like I have some muscle disease. I didn't have these symptoms before. Esp my hands go to sleep during the night and when I wake up it looks like there isn't any blood in them...until I lower them and get them moving.
miller, it sounds like you have Reynaud's. It's a disease in which the hands and feet don't get a good supply of blood. If you're a smoker, you would have it worse than a non-smoker. People with Renaud's are usually found to be magnesium-deficient. Do you take mag?

Miller, I went through the my hands are dead when I wake up too. It's gone now, but I started magnesium not long before I started the Armour. Magnesium helps with achy muscles, twitches, etc. I take 500mg. Good luck. IWL
I don't take magnesium. Sounds like I may need to start taking mag, selenium and zinc.
I guess it is "coincidence" that this started after I switched to Armour. I just don't know. Anyways, I did stop the Armour today to see how it would go. I need to rule out possibilities...how many times have we heard that line, huh?
