I have been told that I have insulin resistance due to the thyroid meds. The doctor gave me metformin for it. It is keeping my numbers down. I would say I average 103 fasting in the morning with the Metformin (when I remember to take it). My trygliserides are high at 499. The doctor gave me Lopid for that and it seems to raise my sugars. With the Lopid I have a fasting of 123 in the morning. Which is better to have, high sugar or high trygliserides? Should I stop the Lopid?

The insulin resistance is not likely due to the meds. I have never heard of such. More likely, it is due to being undermedicated. Untreated and under-treated hytpothyroidism can contribute to insulin resistance.
