Alright the only Blood test results my doctor ever told me about were my TSH and Thyrobloblin and my calcium levels

What is T3 and T4
that everyone is talking about?

I just know my doctors want thyrogloblin
levels as low as possible

And I have no clue what my TSH levels are

Free T3 and Free T4 are the active thyroid hormones in your blood. T3 uptake and T4 uptake are both bound and free hormone. The better tests to base treatment on are the free ones. TSH a lot of times means squat when treating the thyroid because it comes from the pituitary, the free tests come straight from the thyroid, they are what your body is "running" on.

Friday, Did you have RAI to folow-up your thyroidectomy? If you did, your thyroglobulin levels should be zero. Any activity in that test should indiacte regrowth which could mean a chance for a reoccurance of thyroid cancer. Your TSH levels for a person with thyroid cancer should always be under 1. My endo told me the goal was to supress as much as possible without having hyper symptoms. Also your Free T4 and T3 results will be a little different than a normal patient since your goal is supression. A great book to read on the subject is the Thyroid Sourcebook by M. Sara Rosenthall. She is a thyroid cancer patient, and is very knowledgeable on the subject. Good luck, Aimee

I know they want as little activity in my naeck as possible

I do have readable levels of Thyrobloblin and I know its cancer tissue
I get radiation again late Sept.

I don't know that my T3 T4 has ever been read
My doctor has never said anything about it before
