Question armour in canada?

can you get armour in canada? i'm SO tired again i can hardly stand it, am at 150mcg (albeit only three days -- went from 75, at which i felt relatively well for three months, to 100 for a week, to 150 for the last three days) ...

Armour isn't marketed in Canada. Instead, in Canada, you shouls ask for Parke-Davis Thyroid, or simply "Thyroid", as it is commonly referred to.

The dosing and formulation should be just like Armour.

Talking

thanks ... i'm now on 112mcg, but if something doesn't happen soon (ie, within a week?) shall ask for Parke-Davis Thyroid ... incidentally, my endo doesn't think this increase will work, altho' he's willing to provide it the 112... unfortunately, i didn't get the numbers because my husband took the message (i was sleeping http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/tired.gif )

meep, exactly what does cytomel do other than moderate depression? i'm currently not taking it, and i'm almost not depressed any more due to luvox (altho' with a laid-off husband who has ADD and who owes revenue canada $17000 due to an oversight, and my broken hip and thyroid and a relapse, i think i have a right to be) ... can a general anaesthetic reduce the immune system, thus having a negative effect on thyroid? will this effect wear off soon (i've been SO sleepy, beginning about two weeks after i got out of the hospital -- went in may 14, got out may 21, got sleepy the first week of june) ...

thanks, and keep the faith ...

jb

Jinglebts,

1. Get your adrenals tested?
2. Take a T3/T4 thyroid.
3. Buy lotto ticket, lots of them.
4. Get massages.

Hugs, IWL

Wink

well, i certainly have nothing to lose (except $$) with #3 and #4, had my adrenals tested (negative), had half of #2 (T4), dunno when i go back to the doctor (i'm sick and TIRED of going to doctors ... sometimes i think it's the only thing i do all day because i'm so TIRED lately, and my doctor won't do refills over the phone -- i know he reviews them with me when i see him, but sometimes i forget, and it's so annoying ang TIME consuming) ...

so there!

Jinglebts, It's so easy to get sooo discouraged. I feel like a TV preacher whe I say I feel like Armour "saved my life". It's not an immediate cure, but improvement breeds HOPE. I really was ready to die if I had to keep living the way I was. I wasn't depressed, just done. I hope it works for you. Hugs, IWL

Angry

iwl, meep,

i'm gonna call my endo tomorrow and see if he'll prescribe parke-davis thyroid, but he probably won't , even tho' i call him the endo-from-heaven, because my last endo was the endo-from-hell, he was so bloody awful (like i need a shrink? well, like, ok, i might, but depression is a symptom of hypo, like cold sensitivity, gravel voice, and a host of other symptoms) ... anyway, i'm getting therapy -- partly in order to get over my endo-from-hell ...

jb
