Explain : Total T3 to HIGH is this a thyroid problem?
Ultra TSH .28 (0.34-5.6),
T4 8.3 (6.1-12.2),
T7 3.4 (1.1 - 4.4),
T3 UPTAKE 40.7 (32.0-48.4)
total T3 617 (60-181)
antithroglobulin antibodies NDL,
thyroid peroxidase antibodies NDL
Iron and CBC normal limits
Can somebody please help me figure out why Total T3 is soooo HIGH??? I have gotten no help from endocrinologist as to why this is high. Could it be hormonal changes? Do I need to look in a different area of expertise? I am so frustrated. I really want to start feeling better and need to know where or what to do now.
Total T3 that high is either a lab error, or you are very hyperthyroid. repeating the test woudl be wise, then getting on something to suppress thyroid function such as PTU would be advisable.

This is likely a typing or recording error - have the tests repeated. You'd likely be dead if you had that much T3 in you. Then too, your TSH should be totally supressed if that were the case and it's not. Have the test repeated and insist on FT3, FT4, and TSH.
