 Scheduled for surgery - sore throat
I am scheduled for left thyroidectomy late september. Found a lump 7 years ago, ultrasound revealed mulitnidular goiter. New Dr. last year wanted to do further testing found it was a cold nodule, had 3 FNA, first 2 benign last one atypical cells found. I have never had a moment of trouble with this. All blood work has been normal. NOW, about a month ago I had a upper respratory cold and was left with a lingering cough, went to Dr.prescribed alegra, nasal steroid spray and antibiotic. After meds still left with a pain below adams apple and thick sticky tan mucous discharge when I cough sometimes.(sorry so graphic). I am now worried to death. Can anyone advise me on this? It is consuming my life with worry.Thanks, KK
