What are the main symptons for this, I have fast heart rate which is the main thing, thyroid tests come back within range, should the antibodies be tested?
Post your test levels if you have them. Within range is sometimes just an opinion. I had high heart rate with Graves and then after RAI and being left hypo for too many years, I had a high heart rate with that too.You need Free T3 & Free T4 test and antibodies tests. Good Luck, IWL
Doctor suspects Grave's disease for me to, but I think it is subacute thyroiditis. I had a sore throat and severe cold symptoms and went to doctor thinking I had strep. She said my throat looked okay, but that my thyroid and glands were swollen and my pulse was fast.
T4 test 8/14 showed 23.6 and T4 test 9/1 showed 18. I think it is good sign it came down, although it is still high. Getting another test in 2 weeks. My throat hurt off and on for weeks. 3 different doctors said my throat looked okay, but something in my neck / throat hurt. I am wondering if it was inflammation of my thyroid and they could not see that by looking in my throat?
My Dr suspects Graves
