Question Supplements

Hi,
I had my thyroid removed a couple months ago and have been taking 150 mcg of Synthroid for about 10 days now. I am trying to get an idea of what supplements I should be taking. I am currently taking magnesium and calcium. Can some of you please give me some examples of what you are taking. Is selenium still effective without a thyroid? As you can probably tell, I'm not very knowledgable in this area. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

Hilery, I was just told that selenium still helps with the conversion process even without a thyroid(mine's gone). I'm taking calcium and magnesium(ratio 2:1). Selenium 200mg(will switch to 100)when we finish tweaking my meds. You need a really good quality B-100 complex, Vitamin C, a little A, E. I take a small dose of potassium because I don't eat enough of the foods that have it. Also lysine, zinc and CoQ-10. I am also taking some other things to help my adrenals. I started all this about 6 weeks before and switched to Armour and I could tell it was helping as far as musle aches, tingling, etc. I am a horrible pill taker though(gagger), I wish I could just have a shot. IWL,
Thank you so much for your reply. I appreciate your help.
I've spent the last several months feeling awful with hypo and hyper symptoms. I want to do everything I can to try to feel "normal" again (if that's possible).
Hilery
