Hi All,
Has anyone noticed that when the weather (ie: hi/lo pressure systems, rain, etc) changes your symptoms are worse? I just started noticing that when it rains (since snow has not started yet) my symptoms seem to get worse. I notice increased throat pressure, fatigue, cold intolerance, etc. Have also started getting ringing in my ears. This may have nothing to do with Hypo, but thought I'd pose the question.
Chris
yes yes yes....I feel the same thing...when it gets cloudy and rainy I ache and my throat feels fuller!!!
I need to move to vegas!!!
I also have the ringing in my ears...it was one of my frist symptoms and I have even lost a little hearing in one ear from it....at frist I thought it was because of the planes ( I work for an airline) But then found out it was from the thyroid.
Hope your feeling better.

I'm still adjusting to dosage changes so it's hard for me to tell what triggers the symptoms. I have ringing ib the ears too. I didn't realize that could be from the thyroid thing. What causes that anyway?
Barb
yup, i definately feel worse (cold intolerance, sleepiness/stunned feeling) when the weather's bad, and esp. when my thyroid is a bit wonky, and yup, tinnitis is one of the signs of hypo ... and now that autumn is here, it's REALLY annoying ...
Jinglebts, It's autumn? You mean I missed summer again? Okay, seriously when we were back east and it was so humid and the weather was doing serious hurricane stuff, I was dragging bad, feet and legs swelled up(which they haven't in a long time). The humid heat really does suck the life out of me. Ear ringing was worse. I was the "Great Pretender" though, so most people didn't know. Don't want to be a wet blanket, when it's that humid. Walked for many miles which I'm not used to, so I probably deserved to be tired. One weird thing I noticed is broke alot of surface blood vessels in my lower legs and now they look kind of like bruising. Has anyone ever had that. I don't have varicose veins or anything. Getting old is such a bummer. LOL IWL
