not sure if its thyroid related

maybe you guys know what is going on, if i apply a few fingers on the right side of my throat just below the adams apple, i can actually move something around, like a gland or something, and i cant do this on the left side,, is something not right or is that normal. its like something is dislocated and i can push it back in (i can hear it moving too) but it always just bounces right back.

anything ?

Re: not sure if its thyroid related

It sounds like it might be thyroid enlargement. Go to the AACE website... aace.com, I think, and look for instructions on how to do a "Neck Check". If you find similarities, you should have it checked by a doctor.
Do you have any symptoms of illness, or just the enlargement?

Re: not sure if its thyroid related

Just wanted to reply to your post. I too have experienced that in my neck too. For me, I would push an area and it felt like it was moving and I could hear like a popping noise as well. After finding out I had hypothyroidism and starting treatment for it, it went away. Along with midwest, I too think its inflammation. The website that was recommended is wonderful and I hope that you have checked it out. If you are still concerned, share your concerns with your doctor. I hope you start feeling better.
