I have a question for those using Armour. What will the blood work look like? Will the FreeT4 be on the low side and the FreeT3 be on the high side? Or does it just depend on the individual. I know when I tried adding Cytomel to my Levoxyl my T4 went really high and my T3 increased some.
I'm thinking that since the Armour has more T3 that my blood work for my Free T3 will be higher then my Free T4.
I am waiting for my test results to see how I am doing on 30mg of Armour. I think I need an increase based on how I feel.
I think the hormone levels respond differently in each patient. For me, my FT4 and FT3 have been relatively balanced within the range as their levels increased with each dose adjustment. But sometimes Armour users have a spike in FT3 to the top of its range while their FT4 remains relatively low. For them, a small addition of a synthetic T4 med can help rebalance the ratio.
It seems unusual for your T4 to rise after adding Cytomel. I can't explain that. But you should know that Armour is a whole other ballgame... You can't expect the same response, although it might be possible.
It's a tough call.

It's unusual for the both the T3 and T4 to rise like that unless you didn't wait a full 2 weeks before having labs done after adding the T3. It bounces around somewhat sometimes before settling down. Although you're only supposed to wait 2 weeks when adding or increasing T3, my body takes a little longer, more like 3 weeks. Everyone is different. I reacted the same way on Armour and had to add T4 eventually. I'm still adjusting and have to wait another four weeks before testing with the addition of the T4.
By the way, it's the other way round with Armour, it's 20% T3 and 80% T4.
Good luck adjusting!
