Question Armour and obesity usage

I just started taking armour...after 8 days, today is the first day, I actually didn't fall asleep in the afternoon. before researching the web and finding this site, I had no idea what was wrong with me, and thought I was alone. This board has been so informative...thanks so much for sharing, it helped me a bunch. My question involves the "do not use to treat obesity" that is assoc. with armour.
Does anyone know what that means, and how armour is relates to obesity?

Re: Armour and obesity usage

Good to hear that you are stayinga awake, I too fell asleep allot in the midday. All that is being said about" not to be treated for obesity" is that it is not to be used as a tool to loose weight. Thyroid hormone when not being used for your thyroid can be dangerous to your health. Good luck!!

Re: Armour and obesity usage

It won't "boost" the metabolism past the point where it normally used to be before you became hypo. It will "restore" your metabolism to the level it was, so that you should be able to make headway toward losing the weight by the regular methods of healthy eating and exercise. The pounds probably aren't going to magically fall off now that you're taking Armour. You'll still have to work at it the old-fashioned way.
