Question Sore neck
Hi,
I've just been diagnosed as hypothyroid and prescribed 50mg of thryoxine.

What I'm wondering is how long it takes before the neck soreness subsides. i am already starting to have more energy but my thyroid area is still sore.

Hopefully someone will correct me on this - but I'm not sure how much relief we can get on this. I started getting pressure/soreness over a month ago, and an increase in meds leveled it off, but hasn't made it any better. The only thing I found online for reducing thyroid enlargement was if it was due to iodine deficiency.

The only thing I have found so far that helps is ibuprofen as it reduces inflammation. I just hope it goes away once the med levels are stabilised.

my thyroid started hurting a week ago ( i had half out 7 mo's ago) it freaked me out. i took ibuprofen for a few days and it feels better now... i dont know what caused it or if it will come back again?
