| Hypo, exercise, dosage
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted much lately, been feeling pretty good on my 50 mg synthroid. Tried to keep up with reading posts, but between vacations and such am pretty far behind. I do find now that I am in need of your wonderful wisdom.
I've been feeling pretty good, even though my FT4 was never in the upper third, I really had nothing to complain about. Lately though something has been happening and I don't know whether it's just old age (I'm 52). I typically walk about 3-4 miles a day. I have no problem doing that, don't get physically tired at all. BUT, if I do something *different* requiring exertion, I find I am just exhausted. Been doing lots of work around the house lately, using different muscles, and afterwards I get an exhaustion like I've never experienced before. So tired I just want to cry. Even my fingers feel tired. I know there was a previous thread about "hypo for days after exercise" so I don't know if that's what this is....like I said, no problem doing my standard exercise regime, it's just the different stuff that sends me spinning. My levels have been slowly rising, but not out of range for my lab yet. Last FT4 mid July was 1.0 (ref 0.8-1.8) and TSH 3.25 (ref 0.35-5.5). Should I just wait and see where my levels are at in another month? Or should I try taking an extra half-dose before doing something strenuous?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Nornie
